Patients
Your rights as a patient
These rights apply to everyone who receives care through the Aldwyn platform. They sit alongside your rights under state and federal law.
Your care
- To be treated with dignity and respect, without discrimination.
- To receive care from a provider licensed in your state who makes decisions based on their independent clinical judgment.
- To have treatment explained to you, including benefits, risks, and alternatives such as FDA-approved options, so you can make an informed decision.
- To decline or stop treatment at any time.
- To ask questions and get a timely response from your care team.
- To be referred to in-person care when that’s the safer choice.
Your information
- To have your health information kept private and handled under our Notice of Privacy Practices and Privacy Policy.
- To access a copy of your medical record and to request a correction.
- To know who is involved in your care and in dispensing your medication.
- To not have your information sold. We don’t sell personal or health information.
Your money
- To clear pricing before you’re charged, and to not be charged if you aren’t prescribed.
- To cancel your plan at any time before your next billing date, under the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Raising a concern
If something about your care doesn’t feel right, tell us. Email support@aldwynhealth.com or call +1 (337) 382-8330. You can also contact the medical board in your state, and for privacy concerns, the US Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights. We will not retaliate against you for raising a concern or filing a complaint.
In an emergency
Telehealth is not for emergencies. If you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
