Prescribing Policy
This policy explains how prescriptions are handled for patients who receive care through the Aldwyn platform operated by Mount Climb LLC.
1. Evaluation before any prescription
No prescription is issued without an evaluation by a licensed healthcare provider. Your provider reviews your complete medical intake, which includes your health history, current medications, allergies, and screening questions. Depending on your state’s laws and your history, your provider may require a live video or phone visit, recent lab results, or additional information before making a decision.
2. Licensed providers
Care is provided by an independent medical group whose providers are licensed in each state we serve. Each provider is licensed in the state where the patient is located at the time of the visit. Providers make all clinical decisions independently. Aldwyn staff do not make or influence prescribing decisions, and no provider is compensated based on whether a prescription is issued.
3. Identity and location
Patients must be at least 18 years old and physically located in a state where services are offered. We verify identity before a prescription is issued, which may include a government-issued photo ID. Medication ships only to an address in the state where the patient was evaluated.
4. Medications we do and don’t prescribe
- Providers on the Aldwyn platform may prescribe GLP-1 receptor agonist medications for chronic weight management when clinically appropriate.
- Providers do not prescribe controlled substances through the platform.
- Compounded medications are prescribed only when the provider determines they are appropriate for the individual patient. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved.
5. Dispensing
Prescriptions are transmitted electronically to state-licensed US pharmacies licensed to dispense in each state we serve. Aldwyn does not compound, store, or dispense medication. The dispensing pharmacy’s name and license information are provided to each patient with their order.
6. Ongoing care and refills
Refills require a check-in with your care team, typically monthly, covering side effects, progress, and any changes in your health or medications. Your provider may adjust, pause, or stop treatment at any time for clinical reasons.
7. When a prescription isn’t issued
If your provider determines that treatment isn’t safe or appropriate, you will not be charged. Your provider may recommend that you see a primary care physician or specialist in person.
8. Reporting concerns
If you have concerns about your care, contact support@aldwynhealth.com. You may also contact the medical board in your state.
